Hi.
We have a 1986 Star VNC 32 with a Fanuc 10 controller. It was sitting for a bit and when we turned it back on we had these 2 alarms that we can't get rid of:

SV002 X Velocity Unit Breaker Off
SV000 Y Tachogenerater Disconnect

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Pete

My guess is you have tripped an overload in the cabinet. That X axis drive isn’t being supplied power. You can get that, on machines that have been off for a while. Especially if its been humid. In-rush current is enough to throw a breaker.

I’d turn the power off, and open the cabinet. Look at all your overloads / breakers. You should be able to follow the wires back from the top of that drive, to its breaker.

At that vintage, you might even find the drive (Velocity unit) has its own on board, breaker. I can recall swinging the front card away to get to it.

The second alarm will clear its self, when you get power back to that axis drive.

Phil.
