Hello,
Firstly I'd like to introduce myself as a new member to this forum, hope you are all well. I currently work at a machine shop in Belfast Northern Ireland and we are having some trouble with 80mm Sandvik TNS boring bars. The main problem is that we don’t use the boring bar very often and after some time not being used the damping mechanism ceases inside the bar, has anyone ever came across this problem before or have an idea for a solution to stop this occurring. I have attached a photo of how we store the boring bars. Any help would be very much appreciated
