Having problems with parts coming out incorrectly: tool is not cutting consistently. Possibly worn gibs or something similar? Have been hacking programs to compensate with relative moves, but discrepancies just get worse each time.

Original code (worked until recently):
Code:
(TURN NOSE)
Z-.02X-.06
G1G18Z0F.002G99
X.148R.1
Z.1
U.011Z.38
X.24W.125
W.025
U.05W.05

...MILL NOSE...

(TURN TAPER)
G0Z.2
X.16
G18G99
G1G99X.155Z.3F.003
X.190Z1.1
X.24W.06
W.025
U.05W.05

Current code, hacked to compensate for discrepancies in size/profile:
Code:
(TURN NOSE)
G0Z0X.28
G1X-.06F.0025G99
G1G18Z0F.0025G99
X.153R.1
Z.101
U-.017W.01 (<-- compensatory move)
U.0035Z.2
U.15W.15

...MILL NOSE...

(TURN TAPER)
G0Z.2
X.19
G96S575
G18G99
G1G99X.176F.010
X.1565F.004
U-.017W.02 (<-- compensatory move)
U.037Z1.1
U.08W.08

Attached picture:
  • Bottom: nose as turned. Should be spherical nose, instead radius incorrect, and scallop at radius-taper intersect
  • Top: nose and taper as milled. Flute milling operation leaves a ridge in the flute, which started about the same time as the turning issue did.

I think the two issues are linked. Thoughts?
