Hi There,

My Deckel FP4NC gives me an error:

Fehler 12 - Bahnfehler X-Achse
13 - Bahnfehler Y-Achse
14 - Bahnfehler Z-Achse

It happens when the machine calibrates or when one of the axes is moving to quickly... The machine can only be used in NC mode and only when I move the axes very slow.. (digital handwheel x 1).

The machine is equipedded with Dialog 4 and PC2 controller cards.

Any thoughts?

1- Clean the servo motor tachometers
2- Clean the servo motor brushes, replace if neccesary
3-Tune the Servo amplifiers/Bosch drives

In my experience this is a good place to start and takes care of that problem most of the time.

Thanks Colt!

I checked the tachometers and they were OK! Not sure about the motor brushes.. will do some measurements.. How do I tune the Servo amplifiers?

A service specialist will take a look on friday.. I will report the outcome

When you take the brushes out, look inside at the commutator--clean if dirty and check for scoring. If the brushes are short/worn or scored they need to be replaced. If the commutator is scored it will likely require resurfacing.

According to the service specialist the error is caused by the NRP 53 board (inside the Dialog 4 control system). The measured position (XYZ) using the scales is not corresponding with the tacho measurements due to a malfunction in the encoder. Therefor the system gives an error.

At the moment i'm looking for a replacement board. I'm also exploring the option to replace the DA encoder on the NRP 53 board....

Could it be a dirty glass scale?

The error is reflecting all three axes, not a unique axes or a unique glass scale. The NRP53 compares all incoming signals on one single board, therefor it is almost certain that this board causes the problem..

I have this problem on one of my FP4NCs with Dialog4.
In my case, replacing the chip, and the whole board with one known to be good, did not make any difference for me.
Axis jerks and the control shuts down when rapids are used or if feed is over about 20ipm.
I suspect there might be an issue in the PC, but I don't know.

Hi,
can you help me with my DECKEL DIALOG 11 FP5NC

When i press the green button "START" the machine turn on
but the Z axis going down and only down
and than i have alarm "POSITION CONTROR TOLERANCE EXCEEDEED: Z"

Please, can you help me i dont undertand anymore this alarm
