Hi all,

Bought an fp2 that i hope to pick up soon.Just now started thinking how to drive the tooling.
Is something like this allways needed, and if yes do you know what thickness?
Seen them in 1mm, but also in 5mm

The tooling i have so far has slots, but so has the spindle i think.

Greetings and thanks for any info.

Dear PlusMinus,

Peter is correct. The thin drive rings are needed for SK40 DIN69871 tooling, which also needs to be fitted with an M16->S20x2 drawbar stub. You can find my description of making drive rings in this thread.

Cheers,
Bruce

Thank you for the answers.
I think i have one in a deckel tool cabinet that i have bought, but has yet to be delivered.
If not i'll try and make it myself.

It's hard not to buy everything that has Deckel on it.
Have to stop myself now.

Greetings,

Peter

Ok, so is it only for heavy cutting then?
They must be available for a reason.

Hi. I am new to the forum. I know this is an older thread. hope someone can help me answer questions I have.

I just bought a deckel fp2 mill. And need help.

I have no drive ring to my machine. I wonder if this is something you must have in order to be able to mill.

If you buy a regular iso 40 can you use in the machine.

even if something knows how big face mill can you use whit the machine. Best regards rasmus

There is no such thing as a regular Iso 40
The iso 40 only says something about the cone
You can use mas BT40 or iso 40 Din 69871 in combination with a pull stud M16-S20x2

some of the last generation Deckel have a M16 pull bar to use with Iso 40 Din2080

you can also alter the pull bar to accomadate any Iso 40 taper of your liking

Peter
