Deckel S0 dismantling index head

Hi
I am having a hard time dismantling indexing head on the deckel s0.
I attached a few photos... I removed the lead screw from the indexing head base so it moves freely but doesnt completely remove.
The indexing head dovetail (not the base) doesnt seem to move at all.
Maybe someone with experience can point me in the right direction.

You seem to be doing it right. It is possible that the dovetail is still held by a little brass plug located under the locking screw (your first photo). If the screw was over-tightened the brass can get deformed and stuck. Tapping the head with a hammer (through a piece of soft metal tube as not the hit the spindle) should release it.
