Thread: Finished Newall system on a Deckel FP1

Just finished my digital Newall system on my Deckel FP1, here are some photo's. If anyone wants details just ask.
All is done with a as few holes to dril in the machine as possible.
Note that all the original rulers are still functional and can be read as well.

Very nice...scale covers and all. Ross may be agast at the lack of X axis bellows however

Jurasic- thanks for the pics. I 've never thought about hanging my overarms as you did and the indicator attachment also works very well.

I'm looking to install a Newall system on my new to me FP1. What length encoders did you order?

Did you use the standard newall scale covers or did you fab your own?

And any reason you went with the Topaz vs the other Newall offerings. (IE C80)?
