May I suggest you spell out what you consider the Z axis.
Before CNC, Deckels shipped with the vertical head as an otional attachment thusly the ram travel was the Z axis.
Once CNC machines were shipped they designated the vertical axis as the Z.
MAHO remained with the horizontal axis Z designation.

Arno,
Basically a power feed on X and Y tables.
Sorry I ws not more specific.
We need to tilt the head 90 deg. from vertical and mount
a carbide jewellers saw 2" OD thus making the machine into a
power fed cold saw.
We slice parts .060 to .500 and so on.
Let me know if you have any leads.
Thanks!
Hugh

Hugh,
I'm sorry I don't know of a machine right now.
I just wanted to make sure the axis designation was what you really needed.

I would like to acquire the "locating fixture for cutter spindle assembly" for the Deckel SO grinder. This fixture replaces the collet holder assembly and permits grinding cutters while mounted in the pantograph spindle. Grinding cutters in the spindle reduces run-out to pratically nothing. The fixture is shown on page 18 of the new SO manual in the Deckel CD.

WTB - Origonal Wolhaupter UPA3 Boring Bars
Chaps,
I got a Wolhaupter UPA3 a while ago, and I am chasing the original 3/4" boring bars that went with the set. While I should probably buy some indexable carbide tipped bars, I would still like to fill up the empty spaces with the correct parts.
Any out there , or suggestions where I can track them down?
Regards, Steve

Deckel FP1 wanted
I'd like to buy an FP1. I'm not looking to spend a huge amount and an older machine would be fine if in good condition. Especially interested in a unit with vertical head and the compound swivel table but I'd be happy to hear about whatever you have.

Small parts for an FP1
Is there a source in the U.S. for Deckel parts or do you have to order them from Germany?
Thanks for any help.

Moderator input:
Steve, you put a post looking for T-bolts in the main section with "Wanted" in the title...which belongs in *this* thread...
Then you put this post...which is a general question in the "Wanted" section, which belongs in the main section.
You are exactly 180 degrees backwards.
If you are looking for something specific, post it in the "Wanted" thread.
If you have a general question about where to get stuff, use the main Deckel forum.
Go ahead and make another post (or two), and I'll delete this.
Don't worry...we'll get there
Sean

WTB Deckel XY positioning table- the low profile table as commonly used on the KF12, or something similar. Will consider high quality, low profile table from Advance/Troyke or similar maker.
PM or email me with details.
Thanks

If the part is small, please consider the person's time to find it for you and ship it.
If anyone is successful in obtaining their item, please delete your post or ask me to do it, or edit your post to add "found", giving credit to where you found it.
