We're asking $230,000. We bought this for a particular part large order run anticipated. We have run pilot lots of 50 pcs and have never got the large orders. We have run several parts thru but for the aluminum castings and hogouts we do, this is not the correct machine for our shop, not to mention this control is foreign to most of our operators. Our shop is relocating by the summer and if we dont have to move this piece we won't.

I'm just curious... Being an HSM, I don't really keep track of new prices, especially on high end machines. What does one of these things cost new? I was surprised that 230K would be a used price. My naive sense was that new these things were 150 to 175K new... Obviously I have no clue.

I believe a DMU 70 well equipped like this one seems to be is well over 300,000 probably closer to 400,000. The MillPlus control is nice and very powerful.

Ross, If you like the Dialog 4 control you would love the MillPlus. Even though its proprietary, made by Heidenhain for DMG, it is the marriage of the best of the Phillips and Grundig control's. I think you should buy that baby and give it a good home :D
