Gibbscam & Dmu 50 anybody???

I know it’s not Gibbscam, but Siemens NX has an out-of-the-box post-processor that handles true 5-axis for the DMU50 / Siemens Sinumerik controller. Disclaimer: we run our DMU50 on NX and we’re a Siemens software reseller.

Ive got a 99 DMU50V with millplus 4.0 control. I had a guy from spain write a 5 ax gibbs post for it earlier this year. My version of the millplus only has G7 (tilted planes) and G141 tool comp calls. Pretty basic 5 ax control. It took the guy a while to write a post that worked as he was used to writing stuff for newer DMG controls. It works off of the MDD he wrote for it. I also got the text file so it can be modified if you have compost 3. Could have gotten a machine simulator as well but Im too cheap. Price was right though. I can refer you if youd like. PM me. I run couple DMU 100p and have post made by ProAXYZ (I think) or could be Productech. Never had any problems with it.
