I'm curious about these machines - there is a VCP600 on Ebay for around the same price. Either appear to be an incredible amount of machine for the money. What am I missing?? Why are these so inexpensive?

Thanks,
Matt

Matt

I have several customers that have Mikron machines doing very wide range of products.

One customer in Pennsylvania has pallet machine they are producing Porcelan Dentures custom ordered by periodontist to fit each customer this is accomplished very easily by using the scaling feature of the heidenhain controls.

They are very accurate and very well built. They are not cheap when purchased new!

The machine I am offering is so low price because customer is out of business and wants to sell the building and property the machines are in.

I had thought about buying it my self and reconditioning it, but then I have pay to have the machine moved, then my time to put the spindle cartridge back in the machine, time to clean and make it pretty then my price I would offer it would be maybe $40,000. or higher depending on how fast I want to sell the machine to recoup my money.

The guy who owns this machine had thought about hiring me to put the spindle cartridge back in and then asking a higher selling price.

But he has reached the point he just wants all machinery gone to put this ordeal behind him.

His loss is your gain!

Thanks for the insights. I wish the timing was right for me, since these sound like a great value. I was looking at Haas mini mills or some of the small Sharp machines, and this is a night and day difference in capability for the same price or less. (I realize the operating costs would be wildly different too though - these sound a lot like a BMW - potentially getting a very expensive car for the cost of a Camry, but with the potential for catastrophic repair costs)

I'm also constrained by space and power. Do you have any idea how low an opening you can get these machines through with some partial dismantling (either this model, or the smaller VCP600?

Thanks,

Matt

Hello Guys,

Last chance to get this Mikron!!

I have gone and installed the rebuilt spindle cartridge 2 weeks ago and run the spindle in for 8hrs reaching top speed of 10K rpm. Ran the spindle for 2hrs after reaching top speed no problems see videos below.

There are picture and videos below. I took pictures to document the power up of the machine since it had be sitting for almost 8 months. The machine booted up error free!

the only exceptions was a couple of error codes relating to the spindle low coolant solved by adding more refrigerant that was lost when disassembled.

The machine is no longer under power and has been disassembled in prep to move to new owner!

Included are about 30 tool holders, retention knobs, collet set, spare parts used hydraulic pump.

Step down transformer 480 pro to 400 sec included unless unwanted to save on shipping cost.

Please call serious inquires only machine must go the building has just been sold!
