Peoples opinions of DMG Mori in relation to other manufacturers.

Hello. Yes I have used the search function and have read the good and the bad. But people's Views change over time so thought I would ask.

In comparison with the many machine tool manufacturers around the globe. May I please get people's opinions on where DMG mori stand amongst the elite?

Ive had a 99 DMG DMU50V since last august and while the tech support at DMG doesnt always have the right answer, they sure take any calls Ive made seriously. Always do followup etc. My calls so far are related to setup, setting up the kinematic model for a post and upgrading to a handwheel. Machine hasn't had any issues so far. I have to give credit to any company that treats customers with old machines well.

DMG Mori has changed their attitude over the past few years in my opinion. They are more concerned with market share than quality. The merge of DMG and Mori has created a huge mix-up that has hurt the quality of the product being produced.

Damn Machine's Garbage(DMG) Buy a Mori or a DMG made BEFORE the merger.
