Thread: HELP!!! PROGRAMMING G28 on Seimens 810D

Hey Everyone,

I have a Gildemeister CTX400 with a Seimens 810 D controller. I was wondering if anyone knows how to activate G28 on the controller. I need it to read the G function and it wont. Any help would be appreciated. If I am transferring a file from mastercam X5 to the controller what do I need? Can I use predator? Thanks!

Is the issue that the machine won't execute a G28, or that the machine won't read your program at all? My somewhat different machine has both a network port and an awkwardly placed USB port. Does the machine have shopturn? Are you loading a shopturn file or an iso (g-code) file?
