    Default MAPPS IV + Esprit

I was reading about Mori Seki and their MAPPS IV controller that has Esprit built in. They say "Programs created on the PC can be modified on the MAPPS". It sounds really great for me because I make a lot of different parts and make a lot of modifications to programs along the way.

Has anyone tried this set up? Does it work? Any comments welcome.

    Thanks
    John

while i dont have much experience at all besides going to an ellison open house and seeing demos of it, i do use mapps 3 everyday and i know any changes you make on the gcode side or the mapps side of a program be reflected in eachother. i will create a program in mapps and watch the machining simulation, then i will make changes in the gcode side and go back to the mapps simulation to double check my changes. With mapps 3 its not as easy to take an altered gcode program and make changes with mapps because it will rewrite all of you gcode the way it wants to. im not sure if it is the same with mapps 4. Im pretty sure right now mapps 4 with esprit is only available on either multi turret or multi spindle machines. i could be wrong though.
