Default AgieCharmilles CUT 20 P Breaking Wire

As stated this machine suddenly started breaking the wire. It may break as soon as contact is made with the material or it may cut for a couple minutes before breaking. I haven't run this machine much and need some guidance on what to look for.

I don't run a cut 20 but it sounds like one or more of the following. Wrong power setting, poor flushing, worn contacts, worn power feed cables, or maybe breakage strategies turned off.

what material? How thick? check contacts, change wire, flush working? how close are nozzles? they should be .002-.004 away. why not call GFMS?

The tricky one is a worn lower contact. The controller "checks for spark quality feedback" there.

Had a CUT-400 do that for no apparent reason.

Turned out to be bad caps in the cutting power supply.

try to increase SSol parameter (60-70) and decrease P parameter (15-30), also decrease by 1-2N wire tension - all of this from the tec. optimization
