PCD diamond feedrates?

Is anyone here cutting PCD diamond cuttings tools? I'm wondering what kind of feedrates are possible on wire EDM.

Never done it, but my understanding is that similar to graphite or carbide, it depends a lot on the exact recipe. The PCD itself is not conductive, and you're removing the binder. If the particle size is too large it doesn't burn well. Take a look at what Vollmer Sharpening, Eroding PCD rotary tools - VOLLMER is doing on their combination EDM/Grinder tool and cutter machines. It really depends on the PCD grade. The smaller the diamonds the easier to cut. We normally run very low on and very high off.

every now and then i have to redress some pcd honing equipment. for the ones i have to deal with i figured that my agiecharmilles cut 200's 'hard metal +' technology works out of the box. gl
