Can anyone tell us any info on the listed torch

Need more info.
I have never heard of the brand "Mid-States" associated with welding.
Off hand I would guess either a very specialised torch for some robot welder, or a very low end harbor freight tool?
Do you own one?
What does it do?
What machine is it supposed to run with?
Who is trying to sell it to you?
Or do you need repair parts?

Looks like a old two headed heavy duty torch from the 40's's or 50 we have one just wondering if someone has ever used it or not it was used in the strip mining shops years ago.

I know it's an old thread, but ran across it on a search for a Mid-States welder. I almost bought an old Mid-States buzz-box awhile back, it looked cool.
Anyway, just for the record, the torch in question was a twin carbon-arc torch, very similar to the one Lincoln used to sell but possibly nicer. Saw an ad for it in a circa- 1945 Pop Sci (or Pop Mech).

I used to have one of those. Terribly noisy, put out gobs of heat (radiation) and the carbons burnt back quickly. Had to keep bringing in the moveable carbon. Worked fair.......kinda.
