Aluminium: window frames, door frames and shower doors/cubicles.

Need a fastening method that will allow frames pieces to be removed should the glass contained within the frame break.

Some of these doors/windows will be in the bathroom, so they will see a lot of water.
So I assume I can not use stainless steel screws, as that would lead to galvanic corrosion?

Does not need to be unpainted Aluminium, powercoated Al is fine.

So what type of screw can I use . Will need them to be countersunk flat head screws so they do not project above surface of aluminium. Will screws suffice or do I need a nut also?

How do Aluminium shower door manufactuers fasten the individual frame pieces?

flash butt weld 3 sides (mitered), slide glas in from top, top cross piece with screws.

Look at the alum winders, they extrude a "hole" for screws.

The doors will have an aluminium center brace also, so it will be 2 pieces of glass.

How is the Al frames welded? I assume the ends needed to be chamfered/bevelled so that when one grinds the welds down there is still enough weldment left?
