    Default Aluminum Deep Pocket Machining



    This video shows a Makino MAG3 5-axis horizontal machining center machining a deep pocket in an aluminum aerospace part. The metal removal rate is 300 cubic inches per minute.

    There are some machines and tools capable to remove 9000 cubic cm per minute (550 cubic inches, sorry, I am from Europe). You need a lot of power and a very good tool.
