A local company generously donated a pair of Lagun FTV-1S mills to us. One is is very good shape, the other has some issues--needs a VS belt, bad X scale on an old Mitu DRO, and the chip shields/covers on the knee are bent/misaligned/angled as shown:
One of the covers is clearly bent. I'm not sure if the others are bent or misaligned. The covers on the front of the mill are fine. All the covers slide more or less normally.
I spoke to a Lagun tech about straightening them. He was very helpful and described a rather lengthy procedure that involved moving the table and saddle almost all the way off the knee. I'm guessing the answer is 'no', but I thought I'd check to see if there is a shortcut that one of you has figured out. Thanks for any tips you might have.
