Is it possible to have my TNC360 Heidenhain control to pull more upcoming code in a drip feed situation? Im having problems with my machine using the code at a faster rate that it can pull in some high detail situations while it could be catching up when its doing the simple stuff. The transfer rate is set for 9600 and I can't load the program because my machine won't hold more than 1,000 lines at a time and the program im trying to run is 56,000 lines.

Can you run a higher baud rate with flow control? The flow control should prevent the buffer from overflowing.

    Hi there

This post should really be in the CNC section ( where the advice is free, turrets are misaligned and Mr Slammy looks for victims* )

    Ok more seriously.

Change to a faster baud rate

Mod button --- RS232 setup.... change and enter , Of course you'll have to change the PC baud rate too, And be aware that the longer the cable between the PC and TNC and the faster you go, the more chance there is of an error creeping in.(line noise)

If you are running drip feeds successfully at the moment, there should not be any real reason to fiddle with the flow control.

    Hope this helps a bit
