I have come across a bucket full of various inserts, mostly alot of round ones. Most of them measure .750" wide and .250" thick. Right now I do not have a holder that can hold any round inserts, so of course I'm gonna make one. Was wanting to know the correct rake/side angle that that I should machine in my holder for that specific insert. Thanks!

Do the inserts have clearance on them? If not you'll need a negative rake holder, around 3* to 5*, I believe. Take a look in a catalog from one of the big insert manufacturers. They will show the styles of holder with specs for angles, etc.

Your best bet would be to SELL the intire buckett full and used the $$ to buy what you NEED.

They do not have clearance. I'll look thru a catalog, but other than that, 3* to 5* is a good starting point? Mostly just doing this as a project.
