Millrite Milling Machine

I recently purchased a Millrite model MVI milling machine. I'd like to buy a new belt for it but can't find one locally.

I did find an automotive emission control belt thats close and it works but if it stretches just a little it will be too long. The next shortest won't go on.

The belt that was on it seems servicable but since I don't know it's history I'm trying to get a replacement.

Any suggestions?

The one I have has a Dayco Power Wedge 3vx 355. I would think any industrial supply should have one or could get you one. Hope this helps.

Did you try DC Morrison, inc? They are the parts supplier for the Burke and Powermatic variants of the millrite milling machine. The manual was $10 (incl shipping) when I bought one several yrs ago while you're at it.

BTW, Morsetaper, I saw that nice set-tru 6" chuck you had on DC Craigslist. I was tempted for a second, but I've got all the chucks I need...

I'm in Salisbury MD. I emailed DC Morrison tonight. I'll try phoning them in the morning and see what they say. If they have a good copy of the manual I'll probably buy that. I downloaded one from the internet but it would be nice to have a printed copy.
