I am semi-interested in getting a cold air gun for the shop, I am just wondering if there is a certain one that I should get. Its main use will be for doing small grooves(.040" X .040") in copper IHS lids still attached to computer chips, but I can see where it will have many other uses also. I know another member mentioned he had one of these one time and I saved the link http://exair.com/spotcooling_products/asc_page.htm, and I have also seen one in use in Rj Newboulds post about his parts that he makes to tolerances I cant even imagine working too .
Anyways give me the lowdown, if you will. We have a plenty big enough air compressor to handle it, but I wonder about the noise, are they super loud?
