About a year or so ago I saw a universal ratchet wrench socket (that would supposedly fit ANY bolt or nut). I said to myself this would be handy around the milling machine but I never did order it. Has anyone used one of these and know where they can be bought?

I have never used one, but the ones I've seen have been pretty cheesy. Basically the socket contains a bunch of sliding pins that allow it to form around the nut or bolt as you push it down over the nut or bolt. This is how it will supposedly work with any size nut or bolt that fits within it, even stripped ones. Sounds like a good concept, but I have trouble believing that you could apply any appreciable torque to it without it slipping off, but who knows?
