I got a job with a millwright company. Now I see why they are aboe to move machines so well. In addition to their experience the standard moving box we deliver for them includes:
First aid kit
Safety glasses

(4) 3/4" shackels
(2) 2" x 8' nylon straps (loops on each end)
(2) 2" x 4' nylon straps
(2) 1" x 8' nylon straps
(2) 1" x 4' nylon straps
(4) corner dollies, 10klb capacity
(4) machinery skates
(2) 15 ton toe jacks w/handles
(2) 15 ton tractor jacks w/handles
a bunch of hardwood cribbing in 1", 2", 4", and 6" dimensions
(2) large comealongs
(2) rigging chains
(8) 1" diameter rollers
lots of 12" x 18" plywood in 1/2" and 3/4"
Johnson bar
machinery bar

+ anything else they request before the job starts. It pays to be prepared.

Yesterday we picked up a 6klb, 4'w x 5'h x 15'l machined from one place and delivered it to another. 3 hours including driving to and from the shop.
