Anyone know if scrap price is better for old ball bearing assemblies than regular steel? I was wondering because of the hardness if they had more scrap value. I have been putting them in with my other scrap but could easily keep them separate.

In small amounts I really don't think it would be worth while. Seperate tubs/buckets for aluminum and copper alloys sure. But scrap ball bearings? They sure ain't gonna be worth what they were new. :D

Well... some knifemakers like 'em to forge blades out of.. good high quality high carbon steel, and just the right size to forge down into a knife billet.
Don't know if there's enough of a market to separate 'em out though.

Yup....
Trebuchet!

Think, "Ball flinger".

Counterweight goes down, arm goes over, sling on the end of the string flings the "shot" a long ways into (miniature) castles, etc.

I want one too :)
