I have a customer who would like to get some detergent for his tumbling media that will strip the oxides off the material (aluminum) and leave it with a bright finish. any suggestions?

Jarrod, how many aliases do you have? Of course I understand Rutland Tool Guy has been flamed early and often :D

J. Thomas? Gotta be kidding.....Careful...D. Thomas has got some Yasnac robots with a plywood hand mounted as the end effector.... ;)

Matt please stay focused on the topic at hand. And yes I have had a few name changes but that was encouraged by Don to make it J Thomas. My name is Jarrod Thomas and it just makes sense to him. I can respect that.

Suggest you check w/ the guys that make the vibratory cleaners as they have proprietary stuff for various applications. I recall having seen some of them at trade shows, but as I had no current need, didn't collect info. If I were starting from scratch, I would be inclined to try TSP from the paint store.

(edit on re-reading OP)
Are the oxides on the parts or on the aluminia media?
