    Everyone of the bearing retainers in the VersaMil line of machines is a 16 pitch thread. From a manufacturing point of view, it's really nice that the majority of the fasteners you have to make are all one pitch.

    JIC and AN do use UNF threads. AN-16 is 1" nominal inside dia, the 16 means 16/16".

    That thread is also used on "Boss O-Ring" hydraulic fittings
