2 HP Bridgport Any Ideas

Stumbled across the following Bridgport 2 hp knee mill close to home and was wondering what model and any other specs and etc on it.

It looks to have the head and spindle off and apart and it also looks to be priced in the scrap iron range.

Step away, do not make eye contact, it appears to be an old CNC BRPT don't see the control cabinet. Can not be made manual.

that price is way above scrap value, and for $1500 you should be able to get a complete & fully functional machine. keep looking or offer him $50 for it and then scrap it.

eBay freight charges?

Looking through the sellers other items is a road grader. At the end of the description he states eBay charges 12° on the freight. First I've heard of that.

I think I would charge him 1500 for the medical bills after touching it and the heart attack after hearing the price.

Its rebuildable if you could get it for like $50 LOL would take a LOT of money to get her back up and running. Would be cheaper to find a new head.

Unless you have more money then you can handle .... RUN AWAY. do not look back. For $1500 you can find a good running 2 ph port or clone.

If you're a glutton for hard work and have scraping and reference tooling plus a strong back - and a standard coffee mug when inverted drops over your head until it's stopped by your ears by all mean buy it.

Looks like all the parts are present but there's about a thousand hours of skilled labor and who knows how much in parts and heartbreak before that machine is performing to specs and making chips.

Seriously, don't "rescue" it.
