Hi everyone. I have a Lagun Mill and the x axis has a power feed already but the power feed motor is messing up and started smoking yesterday. So I am going to have to replace the X axis motor part. Now since i have to do some work on the mill i am thinking it would be great to have a Z axis on the knee. Can i buy just 1 power feed with what ever is needed to make it work? What brand or lb rating would you recommend for the Z axis? Its a heavier object so they must make something stronger than 135lb that the X is. Basically looking for recommendations and any in site to getting this done. Thank you!

Josh

I use this one: Power Feed - Align
You can see it mounted on the knee here: Power Feed 組裝教學 - Z - YouTube

It is made in Taiwan. They used to make different models for table and knee, but it appears that there may be only one model now. The max torque is 780 in/lb (65 ft/lb) so it should handle the knee just fine. You want the 500P which comes with an extra driven gear.

Mine is nearly 15 yrs in service and has performed perfectly. Parts are available.
