Looking for a little info. I'm looking for a lathe and mill for my home shop. Saw a Jet JTM-2 vertical mill and a Jet GHB1340A lathe advertised locally. My question is, are these Made in China? Any idea on the quality?
I ran an aerospace shop for a long time, now setting up a garage shop just for my own and friends projects. Maybe I'm prejudiced but I'd rather spend the same money for an older and maybe more tired quality machine than a newer POS. Tired doesn't bother me ,lose doesn't bother me, I can work with those. Trying to make something on a machine that is inherently junky would bother me.
