says right on the ebay ad- Made in Taiwan.
Eisen imports machines from Taiwan. For instance, they sell the HLVH copies from Taiwan.
Its probably better than some, and worse than a lot- for that kind of money, you dont get Do-all or Amada quality.

Rong Fu is fair for Taiwan.
Look at Enco for a better catalogue price.

Why not get a used Do All, Grob or another top quality saw? They come up for sale all the time, better quality for less money.

Did Grob ever make a horizontal? I sure have never seen one, and they dont make em now.
There are lots of US made, older horizontals out there- Do-All, Johnson, Kalamazoo, Wells, and so on.
I would also be looking at Hyd-Mech's, HEM's, and Amada's, although all are usually bigger and more expensive than this one- even used, they will often bring double this for a small one.

Older Wiltons are made in America. Newer Wiltons are Taiwan or China, mostly.
Walter Meier, the Swiss Conglomerate, bought Wilton something like ten years ago, and "consolidated" sourcing- means that most Wiltons and Jets are the same, from the same Chinese factories.
Its interesting that the exact same Jet bandsaw is a 10x16, and the Wilton is a 9x16.
    JET Tools -
they sure look the same to me.

will somebody please get rid of this Trajan guy?
every post is pure advertising, and baloney to boot-
The saws he is pushing are generic taiwan or china saws, with his 2 dollar label stuck on.
the website is intentionally vague, with no real info, no address, a generic 877 phone number, and no prices.

personally, even if I was in the market for a generic chinese machine, I would want to buy it from a place that has some history, that wasnt afraid to list their physical address, and had some aspect of reality and accountablity, as opposed to a rented office and a container full of imports in some tilt up building in an industrial park somewhere.

hint to vendor- being able to enlarge pictures is not the key to consumer confidence.

I've owned all three, to be honest. By "three" I mean the saw pictured (under the Accura brand name, but as always, exact same saw with diff paint job), a saw of a diff brand that was the exact same as the Accura, but had the rotating upper/mitering capability. The saw that is pictured can miter as well, but it does it by rotating the fixed back jaw by loosening a bolt on the jaw casting. Those two saws cut everything from 8" I-beam for me, to 30 pcs of aluminum channel per cut, to solid 4" steel round, no problems. The thing with those is that......if you are using them every day, non-stop.............they just won't last. All of the switches eventuall busted/failed on those two saws, the blade guides were always a pain in the ass (couldn't keep the vertical drop on the blade as an actual vertical path) they just weren't sufficient. Wheels wore out, as did the bearings on the wheels which are undersized for the job. I have both of them in the corner of the shop collecting dust now (as of the last 3 years). I bought a Hyd-mech DM2-10 3 years ago, and wouldn't look back. Killer, killer saw, tighter footprint than the other two, super-safe with all sorts of redundant controls that won't let the saw start after a power failure, won't let it start when it's not properly tensioned, etc. Only had to replace the gullet-cleaning wire wheel about 3 months ago. I cut everything from aluminum channel, to 8" cast iron round bar, delrin, 2" stainless 304 square tube, etc etc.....We put about 75-200 cuts a day on the saw, and it's just a beast. Cost $7,400 and you def get what you pay for. My machinery dealer that sold me the saw recently switched allegiance over to HEM, and started in on the "why HEM beats Hyd-mech talk", and I just held up my hand, and said "You sold me the hyd-mech, told me it was the best. Never broken down, always cuts square, so i'm sorry you lost the product line, but my loyalty is to the brand, not the dealer." He just smiled b/c he knows my BS meter gets better every day.

Wilton, Jet, MSC, Enco, whatever brand is just the same exact chinese junk with a different color of paint and a different name stuck on it. Same with drill presses, lathes, mills, etc... We have a 1968 Enco 12" and a 1998 Birmingham 14x40 at work. A friend has a 2yr old Turnpro 1440. They are all three the exact same machine except the Birmingham and Turnpro are gearhead machines. Exact same leadscrews, exact same QC, same switch setup and shaft, etc... funny part, the Enco 12" steady and tailstock fit the bed of the Birmingham, just not high enough to hit center... same bed.

This is not to defend that Trajan guy, but as I curiously visited the site, I found this as a feeder site: utilitybandsaw.com and metalsaw.com. The company seems to have some history in Houston. But he surely is an advertiser, though.
