T12 mag vs T8 electronic ballast VS no ballast with led "drop in"replacement.bulbs

I bought Feit Electronic led flourescent replacements and I am very very very happy with the amount and quality of the light... but I still have some humming and of course the heat from my old magnetic t12 ballasts.

these bulbs work as t8 replacements and so work with t8 electronic ballasts...

My question is, do I need ANY ballast or can I just gut out the magnetic ballasts from my fixtures and wire them direct? Or will I at least need to wire in a t8 ballast?

I've seen LEDs that can be wired with and some without. Best bet is call them and ask. It's their product, they are the best source for info.

Yes the ones that are being installed where I work the ballast is removed and the led tubes receive line voltage.

yeah that's what you do with electrician installed ones...

but I bought plug-n-play ones which are designed to work with existing ballasts of either type, no wiring required. now I want to remove the ballasts.

Vince:
so I called them. They say that they do have to have a ballast. :(
