I have been using 2 or 3 3" dia x 12' 6061 T6 aluminum rounds a week lately. Mostly Pennex or Kaiser. Last time my supplier sent a brand I have not heard of, "Extrudex". This stuff seems way too hard, you can't hardly deburr the stuff. The deburr tool that has been at the lathe and used with no problem before is useless with this stuff. Leaves a great finish on OD turning but not so good on ID turning. Seems almost like 7075 not 6061. My supplier says that is not possible as they only do 6061.
