What kind of tooling & bender does it take to bend steel tubing so that the tubing remains round and there are no wrinkles on the inside of the bend? The tubing is 37mm in outside dia. and the bend radius is 75mm-80mm. The bend is about 160-170 degrees. The application is an exhaust pipe, so it could be steel or stainless.

Check this video out for info on mandrel tube bending: Mandrel Bending | How it Works - Bent Exhausts, Intercoolers, Intakes & More! - YouTube There's about 30 seconds of fluff before the informational stuff.

Nice video, leads to the next question: where would I find a shop in San Jose with machines that can do that?

The tooling they have is amazing, but it doesn't tell me about the machines that use it.

Would a high end muffler shop have such a machine and a selection of dies to handle common applications?

Just a note - be sure to order your bend with tails on both ends. Even though it isn't wrinkled the bend portion may not be perfectly circular after bending. If you order tails, however, the tube will be round at the ends.
