My dad has been cutting firewood for the last 60 yrs(he turned 75 in January). He currently cuts, splits(by hand), and sells around 50 cords a year(down from 100-125 cords/yr in his younger days). He has some interest in a firewood processor, not a huge $40K-$50K commercial rig, but a something that he may get into for under $10K-15K. Is there a unit out there that is reasonably priced, built sturdy, and isn't a hobby/weekend warrior machine? Is he asking too much?
