Has anyone else noticed a rash of first time posters looking for parts?

I'm not sure if some of these people think old parts are going to fall off a turnip truck or what, but when you buy vintage and/or used equipment there are most often no parts available.

Do you think Boley's are pretty common?

Not trying to offend you, but you have a German lathe and you're located in Canada. You might need a mill to make one yourself, or other way to fabricate one. You might be able to turn round arms on your lathe and get creative. OTOH, maybe you'll get lucky and a Boley 4L steady rest will drop out of the sky and land right in front of your door step. That does happen occasionally, and if it does, count your lucky stars.

Short of that, you might need to consider adapting something else or making one entirely from scatch yourself.
