Shippers in the Atlanta area

One of the Forum members has a piece of equipment for sale in the Atlanta area, that I would like to purchase. He is unable to package the item for shipping, and it's unfeasable for me to come there to do that.

Can someone reccommend a shipper that would be willing to pick up and package for shipping ? Mike

Depending on the size and weight of the mysterious "piece of equipment" it may not need packaging. I ship $40,000 CNC machines via open flatbed truck with no "packaging" whatsoever...just sit them on loose 4x4's and the trucker chains it down and puts a tarp over.

If you really do need a full crate, could get cost prohibitive to pay someone to make the crate and install the "piece of equipment" in there properly.

Didn't really mean to be "mysterious" I'ts just a free standing arbor press.

No full crate required, I'm thinking that it should be wrapped up in plastic, and laid down on an oversized pallet, banded etc.

I'm just looking for a shipper that is willing to do that, as the potential sellor is not.
