Churchill cub

Help! Believe I own a mark 3a Churchill cub lathe and want to remove the chuck, tried, carefully, to remove withnormal methods, won't budge. How can I tell if its a cam lock model and how, if so do I remove please. Good chuck, awful Jaws! Thank you in advance.

One of the Brits might chime in, but I think the MK III has an "A" type spindel. A picture of the spindle and the chuck would help.

Never having had or driven one, I've no direct experience but it says here the spindle nose is Churchills own pattern Churchill Cub Lathe

..that your one most closely resembles.

Or as just linked, above for spindle noses, if some other chuck or faceplate NOT mounted provides a klew,

There seems to be a hint they may have used two different spindle noses over time.
