Does anyone have the machining dimensions and tolerances for D1 3 backplates and pins. Tried googling with no success.

There is also some data here, including pin diameter, although there seems to be a wide range of pin diameters out there (based on experience of measuring same).

whilst the above sites give pin diameters they do not give dimensions of pin grooves or what angle the pin cutouts are to the center line of the back plate also the angle of the cutouts for the cam pins to lock onto

I am certain that somewhere I have a drawing with specs & tolerances detail, but for the moment it's hiding place eludes me, I will forage around the other workshop on Monday if no one else comes up with specs meanwhile.

Failing which, having just noticed you are in England, a phone call to Pratt Burnerd could be worth a try, I found them immensely helpful recently when I purchased some new chucks, backplate specs & drawings were e-mailed within the hour.

I'll measure some pins tomorrow but i think I can tell you is that you only need the main cutaway on the pins.
That shallow side cutaway isn't needed, not sure what it's there for but I have made pins before with weird threads when I couldn't get any and just milled the slot in and two flats on the pin instead of the shallow grooves.

Sorry for the delay, couldn't find the spare pins.
I think this will do what you want.
Those side relief's aren't critical, only clearance, I have put them in at parallel cuts on both sides.
No specs on the threads as I have 7/16" and 3/8" BSF, same in UNF and 10mm x 1.25 and 1.5 in metric here depending on who made the chuck / backplate.
