The compressor in the shop where I work needs service. It takes an eternity for it to get to 125 psi. The whole shop air system needed work, so I started to disassemble things for evaluation. I cannot find a manufacturer name on the pump. There is an ID tag, but it only has a model number (see photo). I had resigned myself to buying a new pump, but I took the head off out of curiosity. The pictures show what i found. The pic with the colored highlights shows what I believe to be the majority of the problem. The red highlights indicate broken and worn parts of a part that appears to be a retainer for the disc that is highlighted blue. The area highlighted green is a worn spot in the cylinder block. When i turn the pump over by hand, the disc shifts out of position because it is not retained properly, and fails to seal the port over which the disc sits. It looks like the worn spot was created by the disc being out of position. Can anyone identify the pump? I'd like to try to fix it, but sourcing parts feels like a long shot. I may try to make a retainer, the other valve seems to operate properly, so I could use that as a blueprint. I'm open to all manner of snark, abuse, and suggestions.
