The new Dorian AXA 25 toolpost is taller than the aloris equivalent. My Aloris toolholders need to sit low on the toolholder and the adjusting screw ( with the slot in ) is too short. Can I replace the screw with longer equivalent either made by me or bought ?. Anyone had this problem ?.
I have 8 aloris AXA toolholders that I need to get into use on the Dorian toolpost.

Basically you can do what ever it takes to mount the toolholders into the toolpost as long as they are well secured. If your running parts that need interchanble tooling, the stud and nut allow you to always put the holder back on the post in the same position, same height. For one time operations you could take the nut off and set the tool holder where you want it and tighten it down at that spot. Watch for "creep" shifting of the holder during heavy cuts where the force of cutting pushes the holder down and changes your cutter to work geometry.
