Advice needed on two machines

I was by a local machine shop today who's run out of room for their older machines & is willing to part with a couple machines for cheap (under $1000 usd for the pair) as the owner really doesn't want to scrap either. I don't have much info on either. I was working and short of time.

1st: Thompson model B. 6x18 I believe. 220v 3ph. Has been used in the last year. The look good at a quick inspection & no obvious hydraulic leakage. The mag chuck need surfaced.

2nd: Enterprise drill press. 220v 3ph. Name plate says Enterprise Minneapolis by Roku Roku. The owner couldn't remember when they'd last used it. The table was quite dry. Has chuck & tappers to go with it, but I didn't lay eyes on them.

I run a small knife shop & just looking increase efficiency. I'd rather be swinging a hammer at my anvil than hand filing blades flat. The drill press is far bigger than I'd ever need, but also far better than what I've got.

Good buy or not? If this is the wrong section for this, I do apologize.

Thank you.

Figured out the drill press. It's a Roku-Roku 603 PSR upright drilling machine.

My google-fu is weak with this one. But on the other hand, I now know lots about a TV app.
