I do repair work for the local sanitary engineers. This is a manifold for a "bag pump" in their waste water facility. It injects carbon "stuff" into the system. There are stainless steel check balls in both top flanges. One (through high pressure) eroded a path under the inner check ball seat at a bolt area.. They had it welded and brought it to me to machine. Milled the welds, then used my Chandler-Duplex facing head to clean up the seating area. You can see some scars from weld inclusions, but came out good. The time killer was getting it clamped and true to the cutter. My kind of fun!

Sami,
Isn't that the truth! I did have almost that much time in it before machining. I wanted to get within a thou., but let's just say I got her close enough. Fortunately, the tubing was heavy walled, so with light cuts there was no chatter.
