I purchased a Monarch Model 62 lathe. It has a 315mm ~12.5" chuck on it which only came with 2 hard jaws. There are no markings on this chuck other than 1,2,3 on the jaw locations. The jaws have two bolt holes 88mm apart. They have a 16mm groove instead of a tongue and this runs in both directions.

I could make my own soft jaws but would like to get a set of hard jaws for it but cannot find any jaws which fit these parameters.

Jaws I have are about 5-3/16" inches long, 1-3/8" wide, tallest jaw is 2-3/8", 2nd is 1-5/8", shortest is 15/16"
I believe this is a metric chuck the groove are 16mm wide and bolt spacing is 88mm.

It is a cam lock mount.

If you have any insight please respond.

Actually.. it is not an "integral" D1, but rather a flat-back ON a D1 camlock backplate.

That would widen your search to more chuck makers. However.. perhaps no need. There are JAW specialists, too, they just don't all show up in an English-language search. Try it in German and French. Ladner may have a fit, for example:

Thank you for the feedback Monarchist. No luck thus far cannot find anyone with a 3.45"/88mm bolt spacing.

Might just need to make my own.

Meahh.. Cazeneuve HBX-360-BC came with a 200 mm 3-Jaw, two-piece jaws. Chuck make is "Handy", in France. I found Ladner, as linked, plus other European jaw specialists.

Just out of curiosity, of course. Its a f*****g THREE JAW, so it is coming OFF for disposal so I can mount a useful chuck on the scarce Cazeneuve-proprietery backplate (which Ladner also list, BTW..). It surely ain't being catered to.

Replacement is already here. Pair of NOS 170 mm "SCA" (Swedish).

Wuddn'yah know. Those clever Swedes made 'em proper like. With FOUR jaws. Each.

:)
