Index Model 40h Pulley Removal

Hi my name is Allen. I recently acquired a 1944 Index model 40h in great condition. It was originally sold to Martinson Machine Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I'm in the middle of going through the machine and cleaning her up. I'm also shipping the spindle to Wells-Index to re-grind to R8. I would like to remove the upper casting that houses all of the pulleys. I'm stumped and can't seem to figure out how to remove the pulleys that sit directly above the spindle. I've got the spindle out and it looks like the pulley bearing is pressed into the spindle neck. Has anyone done this before? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Pics are coming soon!

I've got a 1940 M40 but the Index head was replaced with a Tree head due to bad bearing and all the old parts sold off, so I can't reference it anymore but I might have copies of the schematics. I'll try to look tonight. I know that Wells-Index has the drawings and they may be able to help you over the phone. I found them to be very cooperative.

Here are some pictures of the machine
