Hey everyone,
I've just bought myself a burnerd collet Chuck and collets
The KC 15 version for EC collets
On a D1-4 dedicated fitting. Howver had a few issues.
Previous owner wanted to adapt it to his lathe, installed bushing into cam lock holes and tapping for m6 bolts,
Them made a back plate for his lathe.
However he also had drilled out the original cam lock threads, M10x 1.5 and replaced them with an M12 thread.
So when I got new pins for it, they didn't screw in,
That's sorted now as I am using a helicoil kit for the m10 threads,
Next issue is I have 11 collets, should be ec2 to ec13
I am missing ec12,
Somebody must have one somewhere or have a duplicate.
Willing to pay but I've not got a lot hence buying new is out of the option.
If you know of one please let me know,
Thanks for reading.

Cheers Lily Sami,
I had been looking through eBay intensely and come up with nothing, that being how I found the set in the begginning,
What do you know one came up yesterday for £26 ($40)
So I snatched it up.
Also did a bit more work on fixing the cam lock pin holes,
Helicoil didn't work, they just would thread in right, seemed like they were too big, contacted seller he said there right keep at it, but it wansnt working
So I drilled it all completely out, tapped M14 and will screw in a bolt and drill/tap that for the m10 fine thread.
Should be all sorted then,
That steel was tough drilling and tapping though, definitely hardened.

I assume that you are aware that you need a special tap for the helicoil ,usually comes in the set.

Yeah, a M10 helicoil won't fit in a M12 hole, especially as the pitches are not the same if std coarse pitch!
