Need Mobilith AW 1 source in Los Angeles

I can't find any Mobilith AW #1 grease or equivalent in Southern CAlifornia. I have been told it may have been discontinued. Anyone know of a supplier or this grease or equivalent?

I would try Mobilux 111 which is NLGI #1 grease (which I believe is the same correspondence as the "1" in AW-1).

Mcmaster #1416K17 in tubes.

This has an EP additive that may not be good for bronze exposure though...

Yes Matt, the #1 is the sort of viscosity number of the grease. I use this in a KT universal head so the EP in the Mobilux is good for the gears but probably not for the bronze bushing. The grease passages in the universal head are quite convoluted and probably alot of #2 grease was used and didn't make it to the desired locations hence many of the heads need new bearings at $300+ wholesale.

Rob,
AFAIK, Mobilith is still in production. The smallest container it comes in is 5 gallon pails. You won't find the semi-fluid greases in cartridges.

Call your local Mobil distributor and see if he is selling to anybody in the area. This grease is used in a lot of central lube systems. That's how I got mine. I cleaned about a gallon out of a 30 gallon drum.

its a #1 grade Lithium grease look for a lith # 1 grease shell,Chevron,Mobil,Exxon all have them or a generic from??
