Mazak Mate Engine Lathe

I was looking at a Mazak Mate 14x40 engine lathe for sale online. Does anyone know if these machines are made in Japan or are they outsourced to Korea or Taiwan? I have a hard time keeping up with the smaller Japanese lathes and their many many clones.

I think it depends how old it is. I have worked on several of them the older ones were made in japan, the later ones were made in korea and I have seen copies of the lathe made in china and tiawan. I have taken apart all of the versions and there was no real difference between the korea and japan versions they were identical. They are nice lathes as far as I could tell, I used the ones we overhauled for a couple years before selling them and they were nice to run.
